Introduction – Parents’ culture; how many brothers sisters: where did you live?; where did you attend school? Parents from Iraq, middle east, 2 brothers and no sisters. In Iraq, Baghdad. Attended school in baghdad.

What was your socioeconomic status of your family’s orientation? Good socioeconomic status, mom was a teacher, dad was a supervisor at one of the oil institutions in my mother country iraq. Had a beautiful cozy house and a car and we lived a nice and happy life.

Write about their values, beliefs, or attitudes supported by your cultural group. They grew us up in catholoic church and they always encouraged us to always follow the church beliefs and values and respect others and they were consrevative and protective of us. (you can add more about the middle eastern cultures and believes because my family encouraged us to be a part of our social group and our society and be part of it)

What were some stresses your family of orientation experienced, and how did your family adapt? A big challenge that my family faced was the never ending wars in iraq and all the conflicts between different social groups, my country always had problems and still do so my family tried to always protect us and provide a safe place for us to leave we were moving between cities looking for the safest place to live and find jobs and go to school. My family kept the positive attitude and their religious beliefs that helped them overcome all the obstacles they faced (you can add more info as you find relative to this)

What were three socialization goals communicated by your family of orientation? Love all people, be positive all the time, and work hard in all fields of life (you can elaborate on this)

What will be three socialization goals you will share with your family of procreation? I always tell my kids to love each other and love other people because love is the foundation of a good life. Also I encourage my kids to be truthful and tell the truth no matter what because that is how they can establish a bright future and happy life. And finally they have to respect each other and respect others. (you can also elaborate on those 3 aspects )

Conclusion – As an adult now – how do you think your family influenced you as a successful person/ my parents were hard working people and they never gave up no matter how hard life got and this made me who i am today. I don’t give up when I face hardships and I keep going until I overcome them. I taught my children to do so too. I also followed my mother\’s steps to become a teacher, even though I couldn’t achieve that in my home country but here I am working a full time job at a school and taking care of my husband and 3 children and I am going to school and studying hard to become a teacher and achieve my goal.

Hello,

thank you. I\’ll provide some extra information about me that might help you.

*Extra information about me

Hi my name is Abby, I work full-time as a teacher assistant at a pre-school and I also work as a part-time shift supervisor at Dollar tree. My family and I moved to the US in 2015 from Iraq and have been trying our hardest to acclimate to the new culture and the new life here in the US. I am married and have three grown-ups that go to college and work part-time as well, they are 25,21, and 19 years old. My goal in the near future are to become a full-time teacher at my school. My mother was a great teacher back in my country and I am now trying to follow into her footsteps. The person that influenced most while growing up was my mother because she was also a teacher and a mother that worked full-time all while raising me and my siblings. She was very close to me and gave me good advice and encouraged me to be a teacher just like her. When I told her the news that I was going to become a teacher she was very happy and excited for me to follow onto her footsteps

I learned hundreds of important things from my parents which can\’t be counted but, I will be touching on three points that I find very important .

The first point is to be an Example for hour children as the kids use to imitate their parents in behavior. learning, teaching ….etc.

The second important point I had learned from parents is to be positive in everything and every reaction and every style of life. Being positive towards the kids all the time and teaching them to be positive in their behavior even if they are making mistakes , learning from them to correct their mistakes and avoid repeating the same mistakes in future and directing them to do the right thing as we learned from our parents.

The third point I want to direct the lights on that I learned also from parents is to work hard in all fields of life, in our study, work, home duties and other fields because it is the best and shortest way to make successes.

The second part of our discussion for naming three people other than parents who had a major influence on me, I can start with my aunt, she was a teacher and she used to talk to me,teach and direct me to the right decisions. The second person is my study peer / Diana, she was very clever , organized. We used to be very close friends and honest to each other. The third person is my friend/ neighbor in my teenage which had a big influence on behavior and attitudes which we have a powerful effect on each other.

I grew up in a middle-income family which consists of my parents, two brothers and I. My father was a supervisor at one of the oil institutions in my mother country and his academic achievement was a university graduate. My mother worked in the educational field and she graduated from a Higher Institute for Teaching. We owned a cozy, nice house with a big yard where my brothers and I used to play. The socioeconomic status of a family is highly affected by the educational level of the parents as well as family income. My parents worked so hard to educate me and my brothers and provide us the best economic and social life. They made sure that we continue our education, we go on vacations and visit new countries, whenever we can, and they always tried to get us involved in cultural activities and social interaction to help us build strong and confident personalities. We had a pretty good life, education as well as entertainment and fun. Our family was united and able to face any life challenges that come our way and this helped me to build a united and loving family myself with the help of my husband. I am really grateful for my father and mother for providing me and my brothers a stable live, both socially and financially, that reflected on my current life and the way I raised my own kids and also how I deal with the children at the school where I work.

ORDER NOW FOR AN ORIGINAL PAPER ASSIGNMENT:Write about Growing Up in Your Family

You must proofread your paper. But do not strictly rely on your computer’s spell-checker and grammar-checker; failure to do so indicates a lack of effort on your part and you can expect your grade to suffer accordingly. Papers with numerous misspelled words and grammatical mistakes will be penalized. Read over your paper – in silence and then aloud – before handing it in and make corrections as necessary. Often it is advantageous to have a friend proofread your paper for obvious errors. Handwritten corrections are preferable to uncorrected mistakes.

Use a standard 10 to 12 point (10 to 12 characters per inch) typeface. Smaller or compressed type and papers with small margins or single-spacing are hard to read. It is better to let your essay run over the recommended number of pages than to try to compress it into fewer pages.

Likewise, large type, large margins, large indentations, triple-spacing, increased leading (space between lines), increased kerning (space between letters), and any other such attempts at “padding” to increase the length of a paper are unacceptable, wasteful of trees, and will not fool your professor.

The paper must be neatly formatted, double-spaced with a one-inch margin on the top, bottom, and sides of each page. When submitting hard copy, be sure to use white paper and print out using dark ink. If it is hard to read your essay, it will also be hard to follow your argument.

ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CLASS

Discussion Questions (DQ)

Initial responses to the DQ should address all components of the questions asked, include a minimum of one scholarly source, and be at least 250 words.
Successful responses are substantive (i.e., add something new to the discussion, engage others in the discussion, well-developed idea) and include at least one scholarly source.
One or two sentence responses, simple statements of agreement or “good post,” and responses that are off-topic will not count as substantive. Substantive responses should be at least 150 words.
I encourage you to incorporate the readings from the week (as applicable) into your responses.
Weekly Participation

Your initial responses to the mandatory DQ do not count toward participation and are graded separately.
In addition to the DQ responses, you must post at least one reply to peers (or me) on three separate days, for a total of three replies.
Participation posts do not require a scholarly source/citation (unless you cite someone else’s work).
Part of your weekly participation includes viewing the weekly announcement and attesting to watching it in the comments. These announcements are made to ensure you understand everything that is due during the week.
APA Format and Writing Quality

Familiarize yourself with APA format and practice using it correctly. It is used for most writing assignments for your degree. Visit the Writing Center in the Student Success Center, under the Resources tab in LoudCloud for APA paper templates, citation examples, tips, etc. Points will be deducted for poor use of APA format or absence of APA format (if required).
Cite all sources of information! When in doubt, cite the source. Paraphrasing also requires a citation.
I highly recommend using the APA Publication Manual, 6th edition.
Use of Direct QuotesWrite about Growing Up in Your Family

I discourage overutilization of direct quotes in DQs and assignments at the Masters’ level and deduct points accordingly.
As Masters’ level students, it is important that you be able to critically analyze and interpret information from journal articles and other resources. Simply restating someone else’s words does not demonstrate an understanding of the content or critical analysis of the content.
It is best to paraphrase content and cite your source.
LopesWrite PolicyWrite about Growing Up in Your Family

For assignments that need to be submitted to LopesWrite, please be sure you have received your report and Similarity Index (SI) percentage BEFORE you do a “final submit” to me.
Once you have received your report, please review it. This report will show you grammatical, punctuation, and spelling errors that can easily be fixed. Take the extra few minutes to review instead of getting counted off for these mistakes.
Review your similarities. Did you forget to cite something? Did you not paraphrase well enough? Is your paper made up of someone else’s thoughts more than your own?
Visit the Writing Center in the Student Success Center, under the Resources tab in LoudCloud for tips on improving your paper and SI score.
Late PolicyWrite about Growing Up in Your Family

The university’s policy on late assignments is 10% penalty PER DAY LATE. This also applies to late DQ replies.
Please communicate with me if you anticipate having to submit an assignment late. I am happy to be flexible, with advance notice. We may be able to work out an extension based on extenuating circumstances.
If you do not communicate with me before submitting an assignment late, the GCU late policy will be in effect.
I do not accept assignments that are two or more weeks late unless we have worked out an extension.
As per policy, no assignments are accepted after the last day of class. Any assignment submitted after midnight on the last day of class will not be accepted for grading.
Communication

Communication is so very important. There are multiple ways to communicate with me:
Questions to Instructor Forum: This is a great place to ask course content or assignment questions. If you have a question, there is a good chance one of your peers does as well. This is a public forum for the class.
Individual Forum: This is a private forum to ask me questions or send me messages. This will be checked at least once every 24 hours.Write about Growing Up in Your Family
